The following classification is made according to difficulty in the stone working, i.e. according to the technological complexity involved in the stone working. It starts from the most basic products.
Aggregates:
They are granulated products, of different sizes, with a wide range of application in the construction business. It is actually a sub-product which comes from the wastes of a quarry; therefore its use as building material is a good choice for environmental preservation.
Crafts:
Curbs, paving stones, masonry work, ashlar work, etc., which are generally made by hand by quarrymen using basic tools.

Sawed and Cut Products:
The granite blocks are sawed and in only one operation they are transformed in 20-cm- thick slabs (or thicker) with parallel faces.
These sawed products are typically used for covering, that is, for façade covering slabs, tiles, steps, baseboards or worktop surfaces.

Other products sawed with this technology, and which were formerly obtained only with handcraft work, are ashlars, columns, lintels or keystones, which are made with an unparalleled accuracy.
Lathed or Cast Products:
Some sawed products can achieve a higher degree of working when they are made with lathe and/or cast techniques. In both cases the use of numeric control and different diamond tools is usual. The products obtained with this technique are shafts, capitals, balusters and several ornamental elements. .

Compound Products:
To solve the problem of granite fixing in indoor and outdoor covering, several hybrid products are being developed. These hybrid products are composed of granite slabs themselves and other materials such as stainless steel wire mesh.
